1. Overview and scope
OffloadPro and the website at offloadpro.io are operated by 18055441 Canada Inc. ("OffloadPro," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the OffloadPro desktop application, installers, account and licensing systems, support workflows, and related public website and download services.
OffloadPro is local-first desktop software designed to help users detect media devices, organize offload jobs, transfer files, verify transfers, maintain device records, and optionally route or back up content to user-authorized local, network-mounted, or cloud storage destinations.
2. Categories of information we may collect
Account, purchase, and licensing information
- Name, email address, company name, billing identifiers, and order records.
- License keys, subscription status, activation and deactivation events, and fraud-prevention records.
Device and installation information
- Application version, operating system, platform, and local installation details relevant to support and activation.
- A derived or hashed device fingerprint used for activation, trial enforcement, anti-abuse, and fraud prevention.
Cloud connector and transfer-related information
- Connected account identifiers or email addresses returned by user-authorized providers.
- Selected root folders, folder identifiers, filenames, file paths, file sizes, timestamps, checksums, transfer status, quota information, and provider error messages where needed to perform the actions requested by the user.
Support and diagnostic materials
- Support emails, attachments, logs, configuration exports, screenshots, and diagnostic information you voluntarily provide or authorize us to collect.
- Support materials may contain file paths, filenames, transfer-job details, cloud-provider metadata, or local device information, depending on what you choose to send.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, activate, maintain, and support the software and related services.
- Validate licenses, enforce trial limits, and detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use.
- Process billing, tax, and subscription administration matters.
- Connect to and operate user-authorized third-party cloud providers.
- Troubleshoot reliability, security, and compatibility issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Local processing and storage
OffloadPro is designed to run primarily on the user's machine. Media transfers, verification, folder routing, and many cloud connector operations are intended to occur locally. OAuth credentials and similar secrets should be stored using operating-system-backed secure local storage where available.
5. Cloud providers and third-party connectors
When you authorize Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, or another provider, OffloadPro accesses only the provider data and actions necessary for the features you request, subject to the permissions you grant and the provider's own terms and privacy policy. OffloadPro is not responsible for the privacy, availability, or security practices of third-party services.
6. Token handling, diagnostics, and support
OffloadPro is intended to avoid logging access tokens, refresh tokens, or raw secrets. Users may disconnect providers within the application where supported and may revoke access using the provider's own account tools. If you submit logs or diagnostics for support, those materials are used to investigate and resolve the issue presented.
7. Server-side processing and service providers
Our account, licensing, billing, support, and download infrastructure may process account details, license status, hashed device data, and related technical metadata. We may also use service providers that support these operations, including payment processors, hosting providers, authentication providers, and transactional email vendors.
- Paddle for payment processing, invoicing, and subscription administration.
- Amazon Web Services for hosting, distribution, and related infrastructure.
- Authentication and email service providers for sign-in and transactional communications.
8. Disclosure of information
We may disclose information:
- To service providers that assist with payments, licensing, hosting, support, or email communications.
- Where required by law, court order, legal process, or regulatory request.
- To protect rights, property, safety, security, or to enforce our agreements.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
9. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including license administration, fraud prevention, support, dispute resolution, accounting, and legal compliance. Account and billing records may be retained for longer periods where required by tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
10. International processing
If our vendors, payment processors, support providers, or hosting services operate outside your jurisdiction, information may be processed or stored in other countries and may be subject to those countries' laws.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of certain personal information, to withdraw consent where applicable, or to complain to a privacy regulator. You may also disconnect cloud accounts or revoke provider access using the relevant provider tools.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any credential, data store, or transmission. If a security incident materially affects personal information under our control, we will provide notice as required by law.
13. Children's privacy
OffloadPro is not directed to children and is intended for professional or general adult users in media-offload workflows.
